SHOW REVIEW

Not deterred by grey skies visitors came out in force to enjoy all that was on offer at the first Creative Crafts Show of 2012 at Sandown Park on the 19-21 January. Despite a slowish start on Thursday the event gathered pace throughout the weekend and ended on a high with busy aisles and brisk trade on Saturday.

Visitors found a wide variety of crafts and accessories on offer plus Workshops, Make & Takes and Features. With many exhibitors demonstrating their products on their stands visitors were able to see a product's innovative uses before buying.

The Esher Creative Crafts Show provided the perfect opportunity to find all the supplies and materials for your craft or hobby whether it’s stamping, cross stitch, sewing, card making, embroidery, knitting, patchwork, quilting, scrapbooking, ribboncraft, papercraft, beading, painting, dressmaking, tapestry, decoupage, crochet and many more popular creative crafts all under one roof at Special Show Prices.

New Feature Areas included Beading Bonanza: bead workshops with unique designs and colour choices; Knitting-Know-How supported by www.rkmwools.co.uk where local knitters were on hand to meet like-minded people to knit and chat and get handy hints and tasty tips; Decopatch Delights allowed visitors of all ages to Have-A-Go either informally in the mornings or at more elaborate workshops in the afternoons where they could make and take away a finished item.

This combined with last season’s popular Free Have-A-Go Area by Craft Habitat where budding crafters were able to use all the latest stamps, punches, dyes and papers and with no time limit or cost involved made the Show the perfect place to let your imagination go wild with new and exciting projects.

WorkshopAs always there was a Make & Take Workshop programme. Experts from a whole of range of crafts ran sessions, which allowed crafters to Make & Take in just one hour!

The show made a great day out and encouraged many to try a new craft or hobby for the first time and with so many inspirational ideas on show there was certainly something for everyone.

The Esher show certainly proved a big hit and visitors benefitted from free parking, easy access and a FREE shuttle bus ferrying visitors from Esher Train Station to the show.
