Relocation from Cheltenham Racecourse has delivered a staggering 46% increase in visitor attendance to the recently held Stitch and Creative Crafts Show at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire on the 12-14 March.
With unprecedented visitor numbers footfall was so high at times on the first day that visitors experienced some congestion in the aisles and catering outlets struggled to cope with the high demand for refreshments. In response the organisers, Trident Exhibitions, quickly introduced more catering for Saturday and Sunday to alleviate the problem and Trident has already improved the stand layout for the show in 2011 which will guarantee increased space for all visitors. The much appreciated fine spring weather welcomed visitors who benefited from free car parking and a complimentary shuttle bus to and from Great Malvern Railway Station for rail travellers.
Win, Win, Win
Six lucky winners each received £50 in craft vouchers to spend at the show. Vouchers could be redeemed at participating exhibitor’s stands for an extensive array of crafts and craft supplies including cardmaking, scrapbooking, quilting, beading, knitting, needlecraft, stamping, paper and card, cross stitch and sewing. The six winners were: Jane Ricketts from Evesham, Tracey Colcombe of Quedgeley, Roy Chapman from Telford, Dawn Randle from Quedgeley, Henry Reece-Pinchin from Worcester and Jacquie Titmus from Norton.
